Hotel

On the promenade of Rapallo is a small charming hotel. From the hotel you can enjoy a splendid view of the Gulf of Tigullio.

The family Gambero is running the hotel since 1935 with care and passion: each service is designed to make your stay pleasant and relaxing.

Here in 1923 Ernest Hemingway wrote Cat in the rain. We had as our guests Ezra Pound, King Juan Carlos of Bourbon, Duchess of Kent, Elettra Marconi and the navigator environmentalist Sir Peter Blake, killed by pirates in the Amazon in 2001.

In 2007, after his stay, the writer Lucrezia Lerro, he decided to devote at the Hotel Riviera the story "Fiori di pesco a 5 stelle"

Cat in the rain – Ernest Hemingway

"There were only two Americans stopping at the hotel.
They did not know any of the people they passed on the stairs on their way to and from their room.
Their room was on the second floor facing the sea.
It also faced the public garden and the war monument."

Written in 1923 during the saying at the Hotel Riviera
